Sui Southern Gas Company SSGC, which was previously known as Sui Gas Transmission Company Limited, is situated in Karachi and provides natural gas supply in Pakistan.
It was formed in 1955. The company, in its present form, was formed on March 30, 1989, after the merger of three major companies, namely, Sui Gas Transmission Company Limited, Karachi Gas Company Limited, and Indus Gas Company Limited.Â
Sui Southern Gas Company is a major gas company in Pakistan, specifically operating in the delivery and distribution of natural gas throughout southern regions such as Sindh and Balochistan. The transmission system also extends from Sui in Balochistan to Karachi in Sindh.
