Charter and Features

The core function of the federal tax ombudsman revolves around:
“Complaints of tax mismanagement promptly, fairly, fairly, independently investigated and rectify wrongs to a taxpayer through actions by the tax officials of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR)/Revenue Division, Government of Pakistan.”
Complaints are handled within 45 days. The Hon’ble FTO also takes notice of systemic mismanagement on its own initiative and also conducts inspections of the offices that have a bad reputation.
